NEW PUBLICATION: Alberta Policy Coalition for Chronic Disease Prevention and it’s Impact on Policy Makers in Alberta
The Alberta Policy Coalition for Chronic Disease Prevention (APCCP) is a group of practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and community organizations that have come together to facilitate policy change in an effort to reduce chronic disease in Alberta.
Dr. Candace Nykiforuk has been a co-lead of the coalition since its inception in 2009, and her PLACE Research Lab continues to work with and support the coalition in achieving it’s mandate.
Dr. Nykiforuk has published recent work evaluating the eight-year impact of the APCCP, a study that focuses on changing the beliefs of policy makers to promote the establishment of healthy public policy for chronic disease prevention and how policy-oriented learning can affect this.
